iPod shuffle and A1205 W005B050 adapter

Dim green light on magsafe adapter when NOT connected to MBP
Yup just like that!
This is my second power supply for my MBP.
I have the 13" mid 2009 model.
I plug the adapter in and i get a faint green light, battery is SLOWLY charging, shows charging indicator.
BUT... says not charging, and service battery when i click the battery icon.
My magsafe isn't yellow.. just dim green.
NOW.. when i disconnect the magsafe from the MBP, the dim green light is still there! still dim and green! I have tried other outlets and still dim and green... ALSO i did notice, in my system profiler, under power, there is no information for my AC power. its all zeros...
I have tried resetting the SMC, but there is no for real telling if it worked or not.
I have cleaned my connectors.
tried other outlets.
ANY IDEAs??? NOW remember the dim green light stays on when the magsafe is NOT connected to the MBP1

Battery not charging with new adapter
I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro with a brand new 85W power cable that won't charge most of the time. The light on the adapter will mostly be green, and sometimes even turn off. Shouldn't a new adapter, especially at the right wattage, be sufficient to charge at least most of the time?

magsafe adapter not lighting up
Hi,
I've got a MBP Unibody from, perhaps, 2009. It might be this model:
OS is 10.6.something.
I was using it yesterday without the magsafe adapter, on my lap, when I adjusted the screen a bit and then it went dark. This has happened maybe twice in the past and I've been able to get it going again after letting it rest a few minutes, then plugging it back in with the magsafe adapter, and pressing on the power button. So last night I did the same thing.
It restarted fine but I noticed that the light on the adapter was not lit up properly - a faint green color did show up. And of course the battery was not charging.
I tried another adapter, no go.
I used both adapters on another macbook and both worked fine, bright green. So I'm guessing it's not actually the adapter's fault.
I did a few things to try and remedy this:
a) I powered down and then powered up again.
b) reset the SMC
c) reset the PRAM
d) ran applejack (just for kicks)
Then I clicked at the top right on the battery icon to see this message: "Service Battery".
My MBP is no longer covered by Applecare and so I took out the battery just to see if I could power up the Mac to get some of my files before taking to a mac surgeon. It won't power up without the battery at all. I've got about 25% life left in the battery. Does anyone thing that this is just a matter of getting a new battery??

MacBook Air unable to function independent of power adapter
it says the battery is not charging on my MacBook Air 11'. however once it's connected to the charger it works fine but once I disconnect it it turns off automatically. Also no light appears on the led on the charger when it's connected. I've tried to reset the SMC, but not sure if I did it right because I had to do it disconnected to the charger because when I connect it it turns on automatically. I've also tried plugging it into various different plugs in the house. I would be very grateful if anyone has any suggestions!
Battery/Power Adapter Issue

Do I have to use the Apple Power Adapter specifically to charge my iPod nano without using my laptop?
CAN I CHARGE MY IPOD NANO WITHOUT USING THE APPLE POWER ADAPTER? Can I use any of my many usb wall charging adapters instead?

MacBook Air unable to function independent of power adapter

Macbook Air Power Adapter
Ok, I have just bought a brand, spanking new Macbook Air 13" and sold my 15" Late 2008 Unibody Macbook Pro to a friend.
The thing is, I now have a spare MacBook Pro charger (kept the original at home and had a spare at the office). Can this spare Macbook Pro charger be used with the MacBook Air or is it too powerful? Don't want to fry my new laptop.
I'm in the UK so I'm not sure if that makes any difference (UK power adapters being different to US).
