ok so i've been watching some youtube videos on ipod touch 4g stuff and i've noticed that their battery meter turns green when they open an app and mine doesn't. im running ios 6.1.3. i was just wandering if there is a setting somewhere that i can change that.
I have a mid 2010 white unibody Macbook laptop. Seems to run perfectly fine but there seems to be some kind of short or something in the keyboard or motherboard. Some keys respond and other keys don't respond at all but some keys on the keyboard, when pressed, cause the entire computer to immediately shut down. Any idea what might be causing this? Should I replace the keyboard or might I need a new motherboard and keyboard? I've tried a complete software wipe with restore and a wipe without restore. All software and firmware up to date also. Looking into this for a friend. No known liquid damage. Possibly heat damage, he said it's been constantly left on a towel/blanket where little to no ventilation for fan is available. I let the battery completely drain on my 2006 White MacBook (Mac OS X 10.5.8). Now the battery indicator says that it is plugged in and 0% charged. WHen the magsafe is unplugged the computer shuts down. Previously, the battery worked great with hours of charge. I dont want a new battery unless it needs one. I tried to reset the SMC and I also ran the AHT. Is there anything else to do?

Something has happened to my ipod whilst it was on my ipod dock.
Im not sure exactly what happened it but has appears to have frozen with a very badly (or simple) black pixilated image of a battery symbol, the play symbol and time of '12.15' on it and all of this on white background. This happen a few weeks ago.
i thought i would try and let my battery flatten and try and re-charge and even restoring it again via my computer but the battery has not flattened yet
Im not sure what this means an dont know what to do next. Please help. Thank you

Came back from holiday- no charge no lights. SMC reset does not help. Is there anything else to try before new battery!
Yesterday Apple releases SMC updates for MacBooks (MacBook SMC Firmware Update 1.5) but MacBook late 2009 still isn't covered by this update.
My Mac turns off it self with no reason no metter what you are doing and even if battery is fully charged. It is happenig few months from now and I must use charger every time i use Mac. Also this happens when i wake it up from sleep if it is on battery power.
Does anybody knows will Apple release this MacBook SMC update anythime soon?
Will the new battery resolve this issue?

Is there anything else i can try please help

Current battery is charged 750 cycles.
New 75 w magsafe charger and 60 w,"L"-style connector, new third party battery after changing from a completely rundown old one, all normal resets has been performed, electrical connections cleaned. LED goes amber for a few secs, the green. "X" over batt symbol in menu.
When connected to AC, computer on, I removed battery, put it back on immediately, then it charges with amber LED for 5-10 minutes, "X" changes to normal charging symbol in menuline, percentage going up to 5-10 %, then LED goes green, charging stops, "X" reappears. Performing this action 5-10 times ends up with abttery fully charged shown i menuline AND LEDs on physical battery.
THEN, operating from battery only, charge goes normally and slowly down to app 80% after app 20 mins, then computer shuts down without warning.
Now, this is one for the books, ai?
Hope, someone can do magic. searched for hours, lots of related problems with this charger and / or batteries, but found no working solutions and no other descriptions of xcactly same problem.
