How much does it cost to get my iPod Touch 3g's batteries replaced at the Apple Store?

I think my iPod Touch's batteries are dead. No matter what I do it doesnt turn on. I plugged it back to my computer and iTunes can't even detect it. So the most logical explanation is MY IPOD IS DEAD! I have had it for almost 2 years now and I didn't buy the expanded warrenty...

Please tell me how much it cost.. and don't say, "Get the iPod Touch 4!" I'm perfectly fine with the 3rd gen..

Thanks in advance.

Battery icon showing "no batteries available", not charging

Hello,

I bought a used 2008 Macbook (2.4ghz Core2duo) that only worked while plugged in. Thinking the battery was bad, I ordered a new one. After noticing it didn't detect either battery (X over the battery icon, "No batteries available") and nothing showing up about the battery in the system information screen, I ordered and replaced the battery cable that connects to the logic board. It now runs on the new battery (it didn't before) but since it's barely charged it only lasts for a few seconds. Even when it's running on the battery the system still shows that no batteries are available. I've tried resetting the SMC using both batteries and a different charger but I really can't figure out what's going on. The charger turns orange for a few minutes but then turns green. Am I doing something wrong? Could this be a bad magsafe board or is this looking like more of a Logicboard problem? Any help short of going to the Apple store would be much appreciated.

New battery, why does it still say "no batteries available"?

I have had my MacBook since 2008, and I've been through a few batteries.

However, I spilt a little bit of soda on it about 6 months ago, and since then, my computer hasn't been able to charge my battery. The rest of the computer works just fine, except sometimes it doesn't sleep automatically when I shut it.

One day my battery swelled up a bunch and was making my track pad qwerky so I took it out and today I bought a new battery.

I'm just curious why it still says "no batteries available" when I click on the battery icon in the top right.

I assume it's because I spilt soda on it a while back, but does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I don't want to buy a new computer because I can't afford one. Is there a way to force my computer into finding the battery?

Thanks!

macbook pro: "no batteries available"

I've had this macbook three years (since late 2009), but bought it refurbished. I had the battery replaced in January of this year and had no problems with it until today.

Last night I turned it on for a few minutes, it had 90% power, then I turned it off for the night. When I tried to power it up this morning, it would not turn on. Only when I plugged it in would it turn on. The power indicator light is green on the cord, but the battery icon has an X over it and reads "batteries not available". If I unplug it, it turns off. I ALREADY tried sleeping it, restarting, and reseting the SMC; no change. No software updates are available, and nothing else appears to be wrong.

What the heck happened and what can I do? This came out of nowhere!

What's best practice to make batteries last longer?

Hi I've recently had to replace my Macbook Pro 6,1 (Mid 2010) laptop battery, it had about 440 cycles. I'm not that keen on having to fork out for another one in the future. So what's the best way to keep your macbook pro battery in good condition, regarding leaving it plugged into the mains, running it down to 0% every so often?

I've read so many conflicting views, some exact opposites.

Cheers for any advice.

Jon

My macbook wont charge batteries - help!

My 2006 13" macbook wont charge any battery. It recognises the battery but says "not charging".

I got a new battery and I have tested it in other macbooks and it works perfectly.

So far I have tried all combinations of on, off, sleep, restart etc.

I also did a PRAM reset and a SMC reset.

Unfortunately I dont have the startup disks so I cant do an apple hardware test.

Has anybody any ideas/suggestions?

I had some problems 2 years ago and replaced the hard drive and the memory, although only one of the memory slots works.

My specs are
