Sent my 1st gen iPod nano off for replacement and haven't heard anything in nearly 5 weeks

So I sent off my iPod nano1st gen on the replacement program 4-5 weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything or the replacement delivery process hasn't went to the diagnosis phase. Shouldn't I know something by now or have confirmation that apple have received my iPod nano? Ay replies to this would be here helpful.

Thanks

Michael

iPod touch 4G camera ring replacement?

On the back of my iPod there is a camera. Around the camera is a ring, and I seem to have lost mine as it has fell off. Would it be possible for Apple tor eplace it, due to the fact it looks horrible without it. Thanks

Battery Replacement

I have a 32GB Ipod Touch 5th gen which is under warranty. I have noticed lately that the battery doesn't seem to be lasting as long as it should. I have also had some charging issues, for example, a few times when charging it in the car it displayed a temperature warning, and one time the Ipod didn't charge at all when I had it plugged in overnight. I have already tried completely draining the battery until the Ipod displays the low battery icon, and then completely recharging it to 100% overnight, but the battery life still didn't seem to improve.

I wanted to take it to an Apple Store to see about possibly getting the battery replaced and was wondering the following:

  • Is there anyway an Apple Genius Bar can actually test the battery to see if it is good, bad/worn out, so they can rule out software issues, or will they just simply replace the battery, no questions asked?

  • Will Apple actually replace the battery in my Ipod and give me back my same Ipod, or will they just swap my Ipod out with another, refurbished Ipod with a new battery? (I heard somewhere that Apple doesn't actually replace parts that they just swap out the entire device with a refurbished one, but I heard from somewhere else that they actually do replace the battery inside and give the same one back to you).

  • Will I have to pay any money (shipping costs, etc.) for the battery replacement even though it is under warranty? It is NOT "jailbroken," it has never had any water damage that I am aware of, and the screen is still intact (not cracked). I DO NOT have the extended Applecare protection, however it should still be covered under the standard 1 year warranty right(The 5th gen ipod hasn't even been out 1 year)?

  • Do I need to show a receipt or proof of purchase in order to get it repaired/replaced under warranty (I DO NOT have the receipt, but I do still have the original box the Ipod came in)?

I also have the latest firmware for my Ipod (iOS 6.1.3). I am not sure if I should wait until iOS 7 comes out to see if it will fix the problem if it is possibly a software issue.

Need a replacement battery

Hello,

I have a macbook unibody aluminum from late 2008. My battery is in a poor state, lasts about an hour and a half tops and is in a "replace soon" condition. I was wondering where I could purchase a replacement battery and how much that would cost me. I seem to have trouble to find these spare parts.

I would be thankful to anyone who is willing to guide me. I am not sure yet if I am willing to replace the battery, it will strongly depend on the prices.

Thank you,

Esujko

Replacement battery - no male plug

I bought a replacement battery for a 160 GB iPod Classic off eBay, but there is no male plug attached to the leads of the battery cable. It's just the bare leads. Is this normal? How do you attach the battery cable to the plug to fit it in the battery port otherwise? I can't find anything online about this. It seems like I'm missing a piece. Are you supposed to harvest the male plug from the old battery? Very confusing. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Battery replacement

I have a 2010 mbp with mountain lion and it has just reached over 1000 charge cycles (1055), and is now telling me to replace. I get around 4 hours battery on this, says around 79% but as it is still under warrenty will I get a free replacement? Also I accidentily caught my charger tip in the door and that severed the tip from the cable, would I be able to get that replaced or is stupidity not covered?

Thanks.
