I have a Macbook pro 15" early 2011,which battery is almost dead only after 62 cycles.
Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,2
Charge Information:
Charge Remaining (mAh): 204
Fully Charged: Yes
Charging: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 204
Health Information:
Cycle Count: 62
Condition: Service Battery
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): 0
Voltage (mV): 11879
I had never paid attention to this problem since it is almost always running on power adapter.
At first I though it was a SW problem, I made some trouble shooting (Including resetting the SMC) but the battery seems to be exausted only after 62 cycles.
The macbook is out of warranty, but it is quite unusual that a battery can be dead only after 62 cycles.
A part for a trip to a genius bar, are there any other possibility that this is a software glitch and the battery is not properly recognized by the ystem?
How much does normally costs to service a battery for this kind of Macbook pro?
Thank you in advance.
